Dean Lake House is just .5 miles from historic Watkins Glen, home of the Watkins Glen International speedway, Watkins Glen state park, and dozens of shops and restaurants.    We are in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine region!  There's something to do all year long!   Summer boating, fishing, and swimming.  Autumn colors.  Winter skiing - both downhill and cross country.  Hike the spectacular Watkins Glen state park with its waterfalls and glacier-carved canyons.  World class museums such as the Corning Glass Museum or the Glenn Curtis Aviation museum are nearby.  The quaint villages of Watkins Glen, Hammondsport, and Penn Yan are nearby.   Amish markets, evening dinner cruises, antiquing, visiting the Women's Suffrage Movement memorial in the place where it all started - Seneca Falls, a day trip to Niagara Falls, s'mores over the fire, a freshly caught fish on the grill - with some Finger Lakes wine.   Ahhh.... Or just take a deep breath and relax!  You're on 'lake time'!
